About Santhi Vidyalaya ICSE
Santhi Vidyalaya ICSE, Edakochi, is a Catholic coeducational institution owned and managed by the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (FIH), Quilon. The Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (FIH) was founded by Very Rev. Fr. Louis Savinien Dupuis, MEP, a French missionary, on 16th October 1844 in Pondicherry. It is a Religious Institute of Pontifical Right, committed to a deep prayer life and dedicated apostolic service. The congregation follows the “Rule and Life of the Brothers and Sisters of the Third Order Regular” of St. Francis of Assisi. The founder instilled in the first members a profound love for the poor, a spirit of simplicity, and a zeal for the education of women, nurturing genuine Christian values within families. Rev. Fr. Louis Savinien Dupuis served as the director of the congregation for thirty years until he was called to his eternal reward on 4th June 1874. We eagerly look forward to his recognition among the saints of God.
The charism of the congregation is “to experience God’s love for the poor through the total uplift of the person in their spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social needs.” Faithful to this vision, the FIH Congregation continues to thrive as an educative and missionary community, committed to holistic human development.
Santhi Vidyalaya ICSE was established in 1983, initially starting with Kindergarten classes, and later expanding to include Std. I in 2005. The school received its affiliation to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi (KE155), with effect from 24th July 2015. Upholding strong moral values and academic excellence, the school aims at the integral formation of students, molding them into responsible, compassionate, and socially committed citizens. We seek to cultivate in every child a profound sense of integrity, respect, self-discipline, and empathy, ensuring that education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge but the formation of character.
The school is well-equipped with modern facilities, including fully functional smart classrooms, a well-stocked library, state-of-the-art science and computer laboratories, and a spacious playground to nurture physical growth. Santhi Vidyalaya gives equal importance to extracurricular activities such as music, dance, karate, arts and crafts, and various clubs that encourage creativity, leadership, and teamwork among students. Value education classes and community service programs are integral parts of the curriculum, reinforcing the Christian values of compassion, service, and justice. Rooted in faith and driven by a spirit of excellence, Santhi Vidyalaya ICSE remains a beacon of light, offering a nurturing environment where young minds are inspired to dream, learn, and serve.
Principle Message
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
